The passion for all things handmade began as a child when my Mother taught me how to sew, crochet and make all sorts of hand crafted items. There was a phase of “Stretch and Sew” classes too. My interest widened to quilt making and heirloom sewing while living one mile from Eleanor Burn’s Quilt In A Day shop. But my passion really blossomed when I inherited my Mother’s 1130 Bernina in 2005. What a machine! I searched for a Bernina Dealer near my home to learn more about my 1130 and this is where I was introduced to the world of machine quilting, embroidery, digitizing, home dec and couture sewing. I credit Judy Danz, teacher, designer and award-winning quilter, for the knowledge and technical skills she instilled in me for machine quilting and applique. I have studied digitizing under Bernina’s Ambassador, Sarah Vedeler and DesignWorks Software under Bernina Educator, Debbi Lashbrook. I LOVE teaching others about the things I am passionate about and I continue to invest in learning by attending workshops, events and classes at every opportunity I have. My professional career for nearly 20 years was working as a Media Director within various Ad Agencies in Texas and California.
