Fun Friday is a new series of classes that are project oriented and

intended to be fun, quick projects that you can finish in a day.

We will use Bernina techniques to enhance each of these fun

projects helping you to expand your sewing skills.  Take one or

take them all..but most important have fun!  It is our goal to keep

the price of these classes reasonable.  For that reason we ask that

your purchase your supplies at Sew Special.

You have seen this Monkey in the store and it is VERY POPULAR!

We will make one in class and dress him/or her accordingly.

September 10  -  The Snazzy Bag

This is an adorable bag that is all covered with ruffles. 

 Use a ruffler tomake quick work of ruffling your strips.

This stunning embroidery quilt is quick and easy to construct. 
It is a 65" square quilt which was originallydone with dupion t silk. 
 It would also look great created with cotton.  The color scheme is modestly two colors,
but any number of thread colors and fabric color combinations could be used. 
The technique is impressive and the optional prairie point edge is an eye-catching
way to finish the quilt as opposed to simply binding it.  The embroidery
designs used in this quick and easy quilt are from Jenny Haskins'
Robyn's Romance embroidery collections.

Here is your chance to start quilting.  If you have never quilted before here is
your chance to learn from a very knowledgeable teacher.
Linda will teach you the basics of quilting.  Starting with cutting all the way
to the last step of stitching on the finishing touch of binding.
If you didn't know at the beginning you will know it at the end.

Want to learn how to use the trapezoid ruler? 
This class will take you through the cutting and piecing of a braided quilt. 
Bring a jelly roll and the ruler and we will have fun creating
 the first two rows of your quilt or border.

Class Fee $25.00
 
We will take you through the basicis of EQ-7 including opening a project,
designing a quilt, adding blocks, designing a block, coloring blocks,
adding sashing and borders and printing fabric requirements. 
A good start for those of you who would like to learn to use this program.

Get together with other 820/830 owners and make a project with your machine.
We will focus on 820/830 features and expand your skills while making something fun.

*~Embroidery Bee~*

 
 4th Saturday,   Time  1:00 - 4:00
$45.00/ Three months
If you are interested in accomplishing more with your embroidery machine and
acquiring more embroidery skills this club is your opportunity.
This group will explore machine embroidery through a monthly project.
Skills and techniques that will be shared, will include,
but not limited to the following: stabilization of items, modifying designs,
rotating designs, multi-hooping, freestanding lace, cutwork,
garment embroidery such as pants, T-shirts and jackets.
Bring your embroidery machine, all brands welcomed and join in the
enjoyment of learning new embroidery skills or practicing already acquired ones.
This is an excellent way to share the knowledge all machine embroidery owners possess
