If you ever looked at a pineapple quilt and thought you’d NEVER be able to do that, this class will show you how easy it really is using the Creative Grids Pineapple Trim Tool. We will be concentrating on the construction of the blocks (you already know how to do borders).
Sewing Machine in good working order with new needle
Creative Grids Large Pineapple Trim Tool
Small cutting mat (rotating mat is a plus)
Rotary cutter with sharp blade
Usual sewing supplies
Nice to have: travel iron and pressing mat
To make the sample quilt:
2 yards background fabric
2 yards each of two color choices, preferably in multiple prints (at least 4 different prints per color)
1 ¼ yard of fabric for center squares, inner border and binding
1 yard for outer border
Please bring to class:
Background: Minimum 20 1 ¾ inch strips WOF.
Color 1: Minimum 20 1 ¾ inch strips WOF, some of each print.
Color 2: Minimum 20 1 ¾ inch strips WOF, some of each print.
One 2 ½ inch strip WOF of center square fabric**
If you prefer scrappy, fat quarters will work. But recommend the background be 1 color or 1 color family.
