Beginning Quilting on Your Domestic Machine.KTX

Learn how to quilt your quilt on your domestic machine. We’ll start with talking about the basics of quilting, including basting, quilting designs,
thread, feet, and other aspects of quilting. We’ll learn about straight line quilting and its variations, stitch in the ditch, wavy line quilting, and other ways you can use your walking foot for beautiful quilted results. We’ll finish up the last bit of class with a binding demonstration showing several ways to bind your quilt!!
Supplies Needed:
Sewing Machine in good working order, foot pedal, and power cord
Walking foot or dual feed capability
Slide-on table (if you have one!)
5 - 12” quilt sandwiches with solid fabric (two pieces of solid fabric with a piece of
batting in between - Please prepare before class!!!!)
Thread (contrasting color from solid fabric)
New size 90 quilting needle
Scissors
Quilting Gloves
Optional:
3 - 12” quilt sandwiches with sample blocks (9-patch or Log Cabin or Sawtooth Star are
good examples)
Marking pens
Painters Tape
