Beginning Free Motion Quilting.KTX

Join us for beginning free motion quilting as we dive into the right way to practice quilting on your domestic machine starting with a pad of paper and a pen. We will talk about quilting designs, different threads, tension, quilting feet, speed, hand placement, and where to find quilting inspiration. Our mission is to learn how to practice free motion quilting as it is an exciting skill you can perfect with each and every quilt you quilt!
Supplies Needed:
Pad of Paper/Marker
Sewing machine with pedal/plug (if you have a BSR, please bring that!) (note: you need to be able to lower your feed dogs on your machine to free motion quilt!)
Slide-on table if you have one
Quilting Needles
Quilting Feet
5 - 12” quilt sandwiches with solid fabric (two pieces of solid fabric with a piece of batting in between - Please prepare before class!!!!)
Thread (contrasting color from solid fabric)
New size 90 quilting needle
Scissors
Quilting Gloves
