Fall Garden Flag (Baby Lock IQ Creative Class).SATX

The goal of this class is to learn various features in IQ Designer to create a garden flag and apply them to future user-created project. 
You will utilize:

• App Positioning Transfer or Scan and resize a simple image 

• Convert image to line art and create an applique

• Import built-in font 

Fabric supplies:

Purchased garden flag blank 

-or- fabric to make a flag

-or-fabric to make a pillow, placemat, or similar project of participant’s choice

1-12”x12” piece of fabric for pumpkin

1-5”x5” piece of fabric for stem

Other supplies needed:

Embroidery machine in good working order with IQ Designer

IQ Positioning App installed on Smart Phone

Embroidery threads to match your fabrics

9”x14” hoop 

Filled bobbins

1-piece of tear-away stabilizer to fit your hoop

Heat and bond

Blue painter’s tape or embroidery tape (needed to adhere flag to “float” in hoop)

Spray adhesive - optional

Fabric scissors

Scissors for trimming applique

Heat and bond—apply before class

Prepare BEFORE coming to class:

Apply heat and bond to the back side of the fabric pieces

Hoop tear away stabilizer in the hoop
