Meet Laurie – The Heart Behind Our Quilt Shop
If you’ve ever stepped into our shop and felt instantly at home, you have Laurie to thank for that. Laurie is the proud owner and creative spirit behind our quilt shop, and for over 25 years, she’s poured her heart into building a community around the love of quilting, embroidery, and connection.
What began as a tiny little fabric store in Boerne has blossomed under Laurie’s care into a two-location award winning sewing machine dealership and quilt shop now serving both San Antonio and Katy, Texas.
Through the years, she’s helped countless sewists—from curious beginners to seasoned pros—find inspiration, confidence, and joy in every stitch. She's know for creating GREAT Block of the Month programs.
She’s an avid sewist, a machine embroidery enthusiast, and a lifelong fabric collector. Beyond the world of threads and bobbins, Laurie is also a talented cookier, a true foodie, and someone who deeply appreciates a well-paired wine dinner.
Whether she’s helping you learn how to use your sewing machine, sharing tips in Block of the Month, or sharing her cookies, Laurie brings warmth, passion, and a whole lot of experience to everything she does.

You can shop with us at either location (Katy or San Antonio) or ONLINE. We offer in store pick up at both locations.

When you purchase a machine from us you receive continued in store support, 1 year Sew Special Quilts warranty, unlimited New Owner classes, Free First Year Cleaning, and a 1 Year Everyday 10% discount on qualified items.
