Beachcomber Quilted Jacket.SATX
Do you want to make a quilted jacket, but can’t bring yourself to cut up a quilt? Well, you don’t have to! This is a two day class. The first class you will bring your completed blocks and work on layout and option to add sashing. You will also quilt your pieces. The second class will take your quilted sections and construct the jacket!
You will bring a variety of quilt blocks to class 1 to play with layout. You can decide if you want to sew the blocks together, like the pattern, or add sashing, like the teacher did. She will help you figure out where to place the correct sized blocks and how much sashing to add. You will then complete the quilting of the sections; the teacher can provide help with quilting in the hoop if you prefer. You also have the option to free motion or use a walking foot to quilt it however you like.
You must bring the completed quilted sections to class 2. DO NOT PRE-TRIM YOUR PIECES. The teacher has instructions different then the pattern to complete the inside seams. Class 2 will go over the construction and assembly of the jacket.
